Understanding factors involved in self-injury among LGBTQ individuals

Interested in helping with some important research?

Jill St. Denis, a clinical psychology doctoral student at the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada,  is currently looking for LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning) individuals between 18 and 25 years of age to participate in a research study being conducted through the University of Guelph looking at self-injury. We are conducting this study to examine the many different experiences of LGBTQ individuals, which may or may not involve self-injury. You do not need to have a history of self-injury to participate. The study will take approximately one hour to complete and can be done ONLINE, from your own computer, on your own time.

Participants will be eligible to win one of two $100 gift cards for Amazon.com. The draw will occur in Spring, 2013. Chances of winning will depend on the number of those who participate.

If interested please go to http://www.westresearch.ca/lgbtqstudy/ or email the graduate coordinator of this project, Jill St. Denis (jschoond@uoguelph.ca).

This project has been reviewed and received clearance from the Research Ethics Board at the University of Guelph (REB#12FE001).
