The churches listed in our Welcoming and Open Congregations database are Church of England congregations where lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered Christians can be guaranteed a welcome. The congregations listed have discussed their desire to express support for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered Christians at a Parochial Church Council meeting and have passed a PCC resolution agreeing to be listed. Changing Attitude makes no charge for registering a congregation as Welcoming and Open.
The 2008 Changing Attitude Welcoming and Open Congregations brochure is available, in full colour and considerably expanded from the first edition. It provides a congregation and PCC with the material needed to address the issues affecting the full inclusion of LGBT people in a congregation.
For a copy of the brochure and to learn more about becoming a Welcoming and Open Congregation, please contact us.
When you have discussed it with your PCC and are ready to be added, simply fill out the form at the bottom of this page.
