St Barnabas is an Anglican parish church in the Stepney episcopal area of the Diocese of London with a diverse congregation which is a cross-section of the local community in Bow. The parish priest is Father Brian Ralph, who has worked in East End parishes for 11 years, and the Church wardens are Katie Ashcroft and Bob Kelman. The Secretary of the Parochial Church Council is Lyndsay Turner.
St Barnabas is committed to relations with other faiths and the local community as a whole. The church is used by many local groups as a place to meet and rehearse.
Organisations associated with St Barnabas include Artangel and the Chistenhale Gallery.
St Barnabas supports the Lesbian and Gay Christian Movement and is only the second congregation to have affiliated as a body. – website
